I love using Live365 with the commercial insert option! Sometimes a local advertiser comes up in the insert and gives my station credibility in the area I target. Yes, absolutely. All Live365 broadcasters have the freedom to source and run their own third-party advertising. This allows you to make direct deals with sponsors or local businesses. You can easily upload your pre-produced ad spots as regular audio tracks into your media library and schedule them to play during your programmed ad breaks using our standard playlist and Clockwheel tools, giving you full control over your commercial inventory.
There are two primary ways to get ads for your station on Live365, offering you maximum flexibility for monetization:
- Join Our Ad Program: The easiest method is to opt into our programmatic advertising marketplace. You simply define when you want ad breaks (required 2 minutes every half hour), and we automatically fill that time with dynamically inserted ads from our network. You then earn a share of the ad revenue generated.
- Source Your Own Ads: As mentioned above, you can always source your own ads directly. This is a great option if you have relationships with local businesses or want to sell your own sponsorships, as you keep 100% of the revenue from these direct deals.
Programmatic advertising is an automated system that allows advertisers to buy ad space on your station. Instead of you making individual deals, our system puts your available ad inventory into a marketplace. Advertisers' systems then bid on this inventory in real-time to play ads relevant to your listeners. For the broadcaster, this means your ad breaks are filled automatically, maximizing your potential to earn ad revenue without any manual sales effort.
Our ad revenue sharing program is a straightforward partnership. For broadcasters on our "With Ads" packages, we automatically insert ads into your programmed ad breaks. We then share 50% of the net advertising receipts from the ads played on your station directly with you. This revenue is calculated monthly based on the number of ads delivered to your audience.
Programmatic ads are filled automatically by the Live365 ad network. It’s a hands-off way to generate revenue where we find the advertisers for you. Direct sponsorships are ad deals that you find and negotiate yourself. This gives you more control over the advertiser and message, and you keep 100% of the revenue from those specific deals. Live365’s platform fully supports both methods, allowing you to have a mixed monetization strategy.
Your potential ad revenue depends on several factors, primarily your audience size (measured in Total Listening Hours) and the number of ads you run. More listening hours means more ad impressions are delivered, which increases your earning potential from our revenue sharing program. Your earnings from direct-sold sponsorships will depend on the rates you negotiate. The Live365 analytics dashboard provides the listener stats you need to demonstrate your station's value to potential advertisers.
You have complete control. Live365 offers two types of broadcasting packages. You can choose a "With Ads" package to participate in our ad revenue sharing program and get a lower subscription price. Alternatively, you can select a "No Ads" package, which allows you to run a completely ad-free station or only run your own directly-sold sponsorships. This flexibility allows you to design the listening experience that best fits your station's brand and goals.
