Deh Island Radio is a Black-led, Black-centered online radio station rooted in the U.S. Virgin Islands and powered by the Caribbean diaspora. Built from island pride and cultural legacy, the station exists to amplify authentic voices, rhythms, and stories that move our people—both at home and across the globe. Deh Island Radio is led by its Managing Director, Amanee Skye, a proud U.S. Virgin Islands native born and raised in the territory. Her lived experience, deep cultural roots, and love for the islands shape the station’s sound, standards, and community-first vision, ensuring the culture is always represented with integrity and care. Our sound is USVI-forward and Caribbean at its core—soca, reggae, dancehall, calypso, Afro-Caribbean rhythms, and the conversations that live alongside them. We blend island culture with stateside perspectives, creating a space where heritage meets the present and real voices are never watered down. While our heart beats strongly for USVI and Caribbean culture, Deh Island Radio is also intentional about creating room to respectfully spotlight other cultures, creatives, and communities. We believe culture is something to be shared, honored, and experienced—never diluted or exploited. No politics. No gimmicks. No filters. Just culture, community, and real vibes. USVI heart.
