Queen City Popped Presents PoppedRadio.com The New Global Groove A movement built on rhythm, culture, and unity. Popped.Global is the vision of Suzette Nicosia (@sugardlip / @queencitypopped), founder of Queen City Popped, Program Director of Popped Radio, Media Director and Booking Manager for Lafamiliar Music (@lafamiliar2), and host on 91.3 FM WBNY Buffalo via the RadioFX Global College Radio App, as well as mix93fm Los Angeles every Saturday. With more than 30 years of experience shaping underground music culture, Suzette has become an industry insider known for discovering emerging talent, building innovative platforms, and advocating for diversity, inclusion, and safe spaces throughout the global dance music community. As Sugar D., she continues to unite artists and audiences through music, culture, and community. Darla Kogan, Assistant Program Director and President/CEO of Trinidad Traxx (@trinidadtraxx), serves as a strategic leader, cultural historian, and passionate advocate for artist development. Her leadership combines diplomacy, education, and empowerment while creating opportunities that help independent artists thrive. Together, the team is committed to putting the unity back into the dance music community. Popped.Global's Music Director is Russell Mayhew (YouTube: russ8889), the iconic London-based musician and producer behind South Circular Recordings, Dogtrax Records, and The Delicate Giants. A lifelong advocate for music-driven philanthropy, Russel is also the founder of The Cure for the Kids | Music for Life, whose charitable work and influence within UK electronic music continue to inspire generations on both sides of the Atlantic. Rooted in radio, rhythm, and community, and guided by the principles of PLUR—Peace, Love, Unity, and Respect—the Popped.Global collective was born through college FM radio and has evolved into an international collaboration. Today, the organization proudly partners with Rhythm Republic Radio in the United Kingdom, creating a bridge between North America and Europe while championing marginalized voices and expanding the boundaries of the global dance music spectrum.
